Anja and Martin are an Austrian couple who, after 18 years of living together, finally decided to get married! and they could not fail to choose the wonderful Venice to do it! Naturally, Anja and Martin could not personally follow the wedding preparations from Austria, and therefore they entrusted themselves to the excellent Wedding Planner Elisabetta Canton. It was Elisabetta who put me in touch with them, after a few skype-calls Anja and Martin decided to entrust me with the work of their wedding photographer. Anja and Martin got married in August, it was warm but not very hot, then Venice is always very windy, and therefore the heat didn’t spoil the day at all! Anja and Martin got ready in a room of the Hotel Palazzo Veneziano, Fondamenta Zattere area. The furniture and design of this Hotel are very beautiful, with dark and even red tones, which of course I played with in my photographs! The bride’s makeup was done by Elena Make-up Artist. Martin also got dressed in the same room, helped with the details of the boutonierre and tie by Elisabetta and her excellent assistant Cinzia Vedovato. The moment of delivery of the bouquet to the bride is always exciting, it is a moment that Elisabetta cares about very much and she is right, because it is the situation that also makes you think wow are we really here! today, everything I dreamed and imagined for my wedding day is coming true! Anja and Martin decided to get married only with their mothers, to whom they also made the wonderful surprise of saying at the last moment that they were actually in Venice to get married! After getting dressed in the hotel, we reached Palazzo Cavalli by taxi, where the ceremony was held. And finally after 18 years of living together Anja and Martin have become husband and wife! The ceremony is also really full of emotions, with the bride and groom always happy, smiling and wonderful! and with them the mothers! 🙂 After the ceremony, we reached Saint Mark Square for some portraits of the newly weds, then we made a short stop without going down to Burano, and then finally arrived after a long crossing on the Island of Torcello, and precisely at the Hotel Restaurant Villa 600, where Elisabetta and her assistant had already prepared and organized everything for the arrival of the bride and groom, with toasts and aperitifs, and where even the table for the wedding dinner was already magnificently prepared, with every little great detail taken care of! Villa 600 is a wonderful place that even has a part of a spectacular private island which of course I used for photographic portraits of the bride and groom, even in this part of the island with a wonderfully wild flavor! Anja and Martin’s wedding day ended with the inevitable cutting of the cake!
I have to thank this wonderful couple so much for their smiles, their kindness and hospitality throughout the wedding day, you are truly two amazing people and you will absolutely remain in my heart dear Anja and Martin! a huge hug and all the best for your new life!

Wedding in Venice after 18 years of ‘trial period’
We, Martin & Anja, are a married couple from Tyrol (Austria) and after 18 years of “trial” we decided to get married in Venice. Since the organization of the wedding had to take place in Tyrol, it was even more important to find a very good and professional wedding planner and all other necessary professionals near Venice. With Elisabetta Canton we not only found a very friendly and professional wedding planner, but also a friend who took care of all our wishes and even exceeded them. Naturally, it was also extremely important for our small-scale wedding to receive beautiful and artistically high-quality photos.
