Ilaria and Massimiliano are a beautiful couple, parents of little Tommaso. Ilaria and Massimiliano wanted to organize their wedding in a particular location in Venice, the San Servolo Island, in June. Maximilian is Venetian, so they couldn’t have chosen a different city to celebrate their wedding. Venice is one of the most beautiful cities in the world, among the most romantic ever! Ilaria and Massimiliano pace chosen the help of the excellent wedding planner Elisabetta Canton of Sposeventi based in Padua to organize their wedding. Fundamental help because the location chosen for the reception by the newlyweds, the San Servolo Island, it was essential to make use of someone who would organize every detail meticulously and punctually! The San Servolo Island is one of the islands closest to the historic center of Venice. Located at the confluence of the Lazzaretto canal into the San Nicolò canal, it is located just south of Sant’Elena and west of the Lido. Since the 1990s, the Province of Venice, now the Metropolitan City of Venice, which owns the island, has undertaken building renovation, starting a multicultural promotion centre. The island is also home to the Franca and Franco Basaglia Foundation, the Venice International University, the AICCRE Training Center in European Project Planning, as well as a residence for doctoral students or international exchange projects. Since 2008 the island has also housed the branch of the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice and since 2012 it has been the seat of the Ca’ Foscari International College. Ilaria got ready in the Suite of the Hotel Canaletto in the Rialto area, also chosen for its strategic position close to the Municipality of Venice. Ilaria was made up by the talented Make Up Artist Daniela Soranzo. After the dressing and delivery of the Bouquet which also brought a personal letter from Massimiliano to Ilaria, I went to take photos of Massimiliano who got ready and stayed at the Hotel Ruzzini Palace, just a few steps from Piazza San Marco. Helped by friends, Massimiliano got dressed and prepared while waiting for the taxi that would take him to the Town Hall. The ceremony was very emotional, above all for the beautiful readings that took place and also for the words that the spouses exchanged during the ceremony. After the ritual photos on the famous balcony of the Municipality of Venice Palazzo Cavalli, Ilaria and Massimiliano wanted to go by taxi to take portraits at the Basilica Di Santa Maria Della Salute, one of the most beautiful places in Venice and then they couldn’t miss some portraits also in the Saint Mark Square. A short stop then on the Island of San Giorgio and then Massimiliano and Ilaria reached all the invited guests who were waiting for them on the San Servolo Island for the reception. Welcomed by the throwing of rice and by the congratulations and hugs of friends and relatives, the bride and groom then opened the reception with the classic toast. The very strong heat of this summer affected the day somewhat, also because lunch was scheduled on the beautiful and panoramic terrace of the island but during the day. However, the day continued with the cutting of the cake, the sand ritual and a wonderful balloon launch by the guests! Thanks first of all to Ilaria and Massimiliano for choosing me as the photographer for their wedding reportage in Venice, and thanks also to the tirelessly talented wedding planner Elisabetta Canton for having been able to organize everything in such an elegant and scrupulous way!
